    After a delay of the semifinal games that were supposed to be played on Saturday, we now know who will be in the 2023 NAIA Women’s Soccer National Championship Match tomorrow, Tuesday, December 5 in Foley, Ala. Top-seeded William Carey (Miss.) went down early to the 12-seeded UT Southern, but stormed back in the second half, showing the fans in attendance why they lead the country in goals scored this season. While on the other side of the bracket, we have a first-time title game attendee in Cumberlands (Ky.) after they grinded out a win over the defending champions.

Only four teams remain in the battle for the red banner, of the four teams only two of them is returning to the Semifinal game from last season in Spring Arbor (Mich.) and Cumberlands (Ky.).

    Day two of the 2023 NAIA Women’s Soccer National Championship was loaded with action as the day started with overtime that saw No. 2 Spring Arbor (Mich.) advancing. The middle two games of the day were action-packed as teams stuffed the stats sheet with goals and shots, while we nearly had a new record for the most corner kicks in a game. The final game of the evening was possession-driven by both teams but Hope International (Calif.) came out on top thanks to a late goal and a game-saving stop by the Royals goalkeeper just before the final horn.

The 40-team field will kick things off in the NAIA National Championship First & Second Rounds presented by Select Sport America, at 16 campus locations on November 16-18.

    The final NAIA Women’s Soccer Coaches' Top 25 Rating of 2023 had little movement from a week ago as the clubhouse leader remained the same with William Carey (Miss.) at No. 1, followed by Spring Arbor (Mich.), Cumberlands (Ky.), Central Methodist (Mo.), and Columbia (Mo.). The two clubs that climbed in the final ranking were St. Thomas (Fla.), up one spot to No. 16, and Bethel (Tenn.) at No. 25.

The duo was selected based on their performances from October 30 - November 5 and were chosen out of a pool of conference/Continental Athletic Conference (Independents)/unafilliated group nominees.

The top nine teams remained the same from a week ago, while Marian (Ind.) and Tennessee Southern flipped. Oklahoma Wesleyan and OUAZ (Ariz.) both climbed two spots this week, rising to No. 16 and No. 21, respectively.

Indiana Wesleyan climbed the most this week, up two spots to No. 7, while Taylor (Ind.) joined the rankings at No. 25.

Central Methodist (Mo.) and SCAD Savannah (Ga.) joined the top five this week as both squads jumped two spots. The largest jump was Missouri Valley, climbing three spots to No. 20.

    William Carey (Miss.) continues to hold the No. 1 spot in the fifth NAIA Women’s Soccer Coaches' Top 25 Rating for the fourth week in a row garnering 13-of-18 first-place votes. Spring Arbor (Mich.) held the No. 2 spot for the fourth straight week earning the remaining five first-place votes. The remainder of the top 5 held strong, while St. Thomas (Fla.) posted the biggest jump, as they moved up eight spots to No. 17.

    William Carey (Miss.) continued to hold the No. 1 spot in the fourth NAIA Women’s Soccer Coaches' Top 25 Rating, as Spring Arbor (Mich.) occupied the No. 2 spot for the third straight week. There was some shake-up in the top 5 this week, as Aquinas (Mich.) and Columbia (Mo.) vaulted their way into the top five for the first time this season. St. Thomas (Fla.) also clawed their way into the rankings for the first time this season sitting at No. 25.

Oklahoma Wesleyan joins the top five for the first time this season as Keiser (Fla.) drops to No. 6. Southeastern (Fla.) has the biggest jump this week, moving up two spots to No. 13.
