2023 NAIA Women's Soccer Players of the Week - No. 6 (October 3)
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Mariangela Jimenez of William Carey (Miss.) has been named the NAIA Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, and Emma Schweitzer of Ave Maria (Fla.) has been named the NAIA Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week. The duo was selected based on their performances from September 25 - October 1 and were chosen out of a pool of conference/Continental Athletic Conference (Independents)/unafilliated group nominees.
Players of the Week are announced weekly throughout the regular-season on Tuesdays on naia.org, Instagram and Twitter.

NAIA Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week
Mariangela Jimenez, William Carey (Miss.) - JR - Midfielder
- Assisted her team to two dominant wins, outscoring opponents 22-1 as she recorded a hat trick in both matches.
- Recorded a .636 shot-on-goal percentage while averaging 5.50 shots per game and 3.50 shots on goal per game.
NAIA Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week
Emma Schweitzer, Ave Maria (Fla.) - FR - Goalkeeper
- Put together a stellar performance against No. 11 Keiser last week, notching 14 saves for a complete match shutout tie for the first time in Ave Maria (Fla.) history
- Continued her big week, putting up another six saves in a 1-1 tie against Warner (Fla.)
