2023 NAIA Women's Soccer Players of the Week - No. 5 (September 26)
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Bees of SCAD Savannah (Ga.) secure both offensive and defensive player of the week honors this week as Sydney Chura is named the NAIA Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week and Katelynn Balsiger is named the NAIA Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week. The duo was selected based on their performances from September 18-24 and were chosen out of a pool of conference/Continental Athletic Conference (Independents)/unafilliated group nominees.
Players of the Week are announced weekly throughout the regular season on Tuesdays on naia.org, Instagram, and Twitter.

Sydney Chura, SCAD Savannah (Ga.) - JR - Forward
- Notched a pair of assists helping the Bees to an upset win over No. 6 Keiser (Fla.) to remain perfect on the season
- Added a goal and assist for SCAD Savannah (Ga.) in the 2-0 shutout win against Ave Maria (Fla.)
NAIA Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week
Katelynn Balsiger, SCAD Savannah (Ga.) - FR - Goalkeeper
- Tallied a career-high 12 saves in the big 3-1 victory over No. 6 Keiser (Fla.)
- Allowed only one goal in two games last week, notching a .933 save percentage
