The Impact of JV Programs on Net Return
In 2022, an ROA research brief explored the impact of junior varsity (JV) programs on net return among NAIA institutions. These initial findings revealed approximately one-third of sport programs offered by NAIA institutions contained a JV component, and the average NAIA institution with both varsity and JV sport programs realized a net return almost 100% larger than an institution that did not sponsor JV competition. This research brief provides updated information on the impact JV programs have on net return at NAIA institutions.
