COP Members
As the Association’s chief governing body, the Council of Presidents (COP) has responsibility for all budgetary and fiscal matters, employment and supervision of the president/chief executive officer, and continuing review, evaluation and strengthening of academic standards. Council of Presidents members shall serve terms of three years, and no one may serve more than two terms in succession.
The COP meets twice each year. The fall meeting is held in Kansas City, generally the last Sunday-Monday in September. Roundtrip airfare and up to two nights’ hotel accommodations are provided for attendance at the fall meeting of the COP. The spring meeting is held in conjunction with the NAIA National Convention. Expenses for that meeting are borne by the member as a representative of his or her institution.
