Pair of Relay Wins Propel Keiser to The Top of Team Leaderboard After First Day of Competition at the NAIA Women's Swimming and Diving Championship

Columbus, Ga. – The 2024 NAIA Women’s Swimming & Diving Championships began Wednesday night at the Columbus Aquatic Center with the finals of the 200 medley relay and the 800 free relay.

  • Keiser (Fla.) posted a pair of first-place finishes in the relay to sit in first place with 80 points.  The quartet of Marine Lecomte, Nikoline Biltoft-Jensen, Ines Laurnet, and Danai Sofoulis teamed up to win the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:41.623. The Seahawks followed that up with Rachel Bradley, Aubrey Bach, Sofoulis, and Lecomte touching the wall in a winning time of 7:31.71 in the 800 free relay.
  • Milligan (Tenn.) recorded 64 points to be in second place after tallying a pair of third-place finishes in the relays.  The Buffaloes notched a time of 1:45.73 in the 200 medley relay.
  • St. Thomas (Fla.) utilized a runner-up finish in the 800 free relay to move into third place with 60 points. 
  • Olivet Nazarene (Ill.) posted a pair of top-five finishes on the day to be in fourth place with 58 points.
  • Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) rounds out the top five in the team standings with 56 points.  The Blue Raiders clocked a 1:43.77 to finish runner-up in the 200 medley relay.

The NAIA Championship will continue Thursday, March 7, with the second day of competition. Prelims are slated to begin at 9 a.m. EST and finals will start at 5 p.m. EST.
