PrestoStats FAQ

A: PrestoStats is a web-based application, so you may run it on any computer that has internet. Important to note that you only need an internet connection to open a game in PrestoStats. From that point forward, if you lose internet connection you may still stat a game, as the game will continue to run and save locally. Once you get back to an internet connection, your stats will update.

A: This switch will begin in the fall of 2021. Dakstats will remain the Official Statistics Provider of the NAIA until the end of the 2020-21 academic year.

A: Go to naiastats.prestosports.com/admin to login if you are not a Presto Website user. If you have a Presto Website, you will simply login to your site. Click HERE to view the launch guide.

A: Yes! Presto has provided a training webinar on the majority of their sport offerings. Please click HERE to go to the playlist on YouTube.

A: Yes! You can go to http://tryprestostats.com and use the following credentials: Username: prestostats@prestosports.com   Password: tryprestostats.

A: NAIA members will pay $200 per sport. This is $100 less than their market rate.

A: NO! Please do not attempt to purchase through Presto. The NAIA has used your Declaration of Intent information that your athletic department (typically your Director of Athletics) provides annually in the spring to give you access to what you need. You will be invoiced by the NAIA in the Fall. If you have paid Presto directly already, please reach-out to web@prestosports.com to ensure you work-out a refund.

A: It will work most seamlessly with a PrestoSports website, but you should have no difficulty with other providers. PrestoSports has a feature called “Stat Partners” that will allow you to link your live stats to this or other providers with ease. For more information on connectivity, we recommend you reach-out to your particular provider to get further details.

A: Yes. Even without another solution for live stats, PrestoStats has a live stats component that will update in real time for your fans called Primetime. Those can easily be added to your website. If you have a PrestoSports website, you simply need to check a box that the game will be a Primetime game and it will be automatically setup on your scheduled event. For 2021-22, ALL NAIA MEMBERS will get to utilize this service for FREE! After this year, there will be a charge if you are a non-Presto client to utilze this display. More information on the cost will be released in the fall.

A: Have no fear on this. The NAIA is working with Presto Stats to migrate all of this data to the Presto system and will be housed on the NAIA website.

A: Yes. Live Stats will be added to the NAIA Scoreboard and there will be a place to go find tournaments, similar to what is available now.

A: Yes. StretchCast will be able to provide you a simple guide on this, but the connectivity is seamless and will help StretchCast users that are also using PrestoStats find more automation in their gameday operations.

A: Yes. We will provide a guide for this operation prior to full deployment so you have full understanding of this process.

A: Yes and no. You will be required to import and submit your stats through PrestoStats, but if you feel more comfortable using another provider live, you may do so during the regular season. Similar to now, you will be invoiced for the PrestoStats fees annually regardless, so any other software would be an additional expense. Please also remember that the use of the official statistics provider of the NAIA is required for all NAIA Opening Round hosts.

A: If you are statting a game live in PrestoStats, once you click game finished, it will automatically submit BOTH teams stats. If you are not using Presto Stats, you will simply login to your Presto Stats schedule and upload the final game XML.

A: Yes and no. Once you submit your stats, all scores are integrated with the stats platform. You will not have to manually update your scores on your Presto schedule as long as you upload an XML file. ALL NAIA MEMBERS will still need to update their scores on the NAIA SIDHelp schedule. As in the past, if you have an SIDHelp site, this should happen automatically, but if you do not, you will need to login to naiasports.org/admin and create and update your schedules with results daily.

A: First, once you submit stats, there will be no reason to update your scores on your schedules. It will automatically do that for you. Second, your website schedule and rosters are directly tied to PrestoStats. You will not need to import these or enter them a second time. They will all be available in PrestoStats. Finally, season stats will automatically update on your website for your teams. No need to upload a file. Your season stats for your teams will be located on your page, in your branding. No need to send people to a third party site or the NAIA site.

A: Once you enter a schedule either on your PrestoSports website or on the NAIA site, as you currently do, there will be no additional statistics schedule to enter. PrestoStats will create the game from your website schedule, so there will be no double-entry.

A: Yes. Rosters will be entered either on your PrestoSports website or on the NAIA Presto Stats site. The rosters will pull directly from there.

A: PrestoStats has a team of individuals that provide live technical support both during normal business hours and during games on nights and weekends. You should see an immediate difference in response time. August is typically the busiest time of year for Presto Customer Care, but they will be working on things based on the priority level and immediacy of the request. Once you file a customer care ticket, please do not do another.

A: PrestoStats has invested millions of dollars into their product since its first release as a free service. In addition to the product being a proven service already at every level of college sports, there will be significant investment into the future of the product in perpetuity. The NAIA will be at the center of that and we are confident that in the end, our members will be the beneficiaries of this investment.

A: Women’s Flag Football will be the first priority, as it is a live product and will need the most lead time to get completed. Once we get to a point that we will need beta testers, we will reach-out to those that have the sport and/or have shown interest.

Tennis, Golf and Beach Volleyball are the three new products that were referenced. These three will be, at the present time, a simple manual entry statistics program that will not have a live element as of yet. Each will allow the user to print a box score and display stats. These will be in development early in 2021. We will have more information on roll-out of these in the coming months as information becomes available.

A: Yes! Beginning in 2021-22, all Player of the Week awards will go through the Presto Awards platform. You will get similar functionality for the Player of the Week forms that you currently get in SIDHelp.

A: The easiest way to get past this error is to clear and delete your cache on your web browser. Once you do this, a browser re-start should fix the issue. For a faster, short-term fix, simply open the game in another browser. Chrome and Firefox are the preferred browsers
