NAIA-SIDA Spotlight - Erica Richardson, Crowley's Ridge

Erica Richardson is a fourth-year SID heading Crowley’s Ridge College in Arkansas. As a member of the Association of Independent Institutions (A.I.I.), Richardson oversees nine varsity sports for the Pioneers. In addition to her SID duties, Richardson became the first head coach of CRC’s women’s cross country team in 2017.

 

Tell us a little bit about yourself: I am a proud alumna of CRC and played basketball and softball during my time as a student! I am blessed to now be employed by the college! I love my supportive husband – Chris – we just got married this summer!! We are enjoying running this race of life together and we have the sweetest golden retriever puppy named Griffey!

           

Favorite Hobby: Watching sports!

Favorite Color: North Carolina Blue! Go Tar Heels!

 

Favorite Vacation Destination: Bora Bora! Chris and I got to honeymoon in Bora Bora and it was breathtaking!

 

Favorite Style of Music: Pretty much anything – whatever I’m in the mood for! I like to listen to worship music while I’m in my office!

 

Favorite Athlete of All Time: Michael Jordan!

 

Favorite Author: Currently it is Stuart Turton!

 

Favorite Quote: I have a word document with multiple pages of my favorite quotes, but right now my favorite is – “Falling down is an accident, staying down is a choice.”

           

Favorite Memory as an SID: Getting to experience the conference championship tournament with our softball team for two years in a row!
