2025 NAIA Softball Netting Professionals Coaches' Top 25 Rating - Final (April 30)
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Drovers of Science and Arts (Okla.) jump into the top spot in the final NAIA Softball Coaches' Top 25 Ratings of the 2025 season with a 43-7 record. The top four teams heading into postseason all received a share of the available first-place votes in the final ratings release, with the Drovers, Oregon Tech, and Cumberlands (Ky.) all receiving five first-place votes, and Southern Oregon receiving the final three available.
USAO, OIT, UC, and SOU head into the postseason in order from first through fourth. Our Lady of the Lake (Texas) held steady at No. 5 to begin its postseason run. There was a lot of movement among the entire top 25 this week, although Rio Grande (Ohio) is the only team new to the Top 25 receiving votes last week.
Rating Methodology:
- The rating is rated by a panel of head coaches representing each of the conference/Continental Athletic Conference (Independents).
- The Top 25 is determined by a points system based on how each rater rates the best teams. A team receives 30 points for each first-place vote, 29 for second-place, 28 for third-place and so on through the list.
- The highest and lowest ratings for each team (a non-rating is considered a low rating) are removed. The team’s rating will be recalculated with an additional point added to each team for every ballot (including discounted ballots) that the team appears on.
- Teams that receive only one point on the ballot are not considered "receiving votes".
