Kansas City, Mo. – Jazi Smith of Montana Western has been named the NAIA Women’s Volleyball Attacker of the Week, Darla Crow of Bethel (Kan.) has been named the NAIA Women’s Volleyball Defender of the Week and Rhys Layton of Montana Tech has been named the NAIA Women's Volleyball Setter of the Week. The trio was selected based on their performances from October 21-27 and were chosen out of a pool of conference/Continental Athletic Conference (Independents)/unaffiliated group nominees.

Players of the Week are announced weekly throughout the regular season on Tuesdays on naia.org, Instagram, and X.

NAIA Women's Volleyball Attacker of the Week 

Jazi Smith, Montana Western – SR – Outside Hitter

• Totaled 44 kills in a pair of wins for an average of 4.40 kills per set
• Recorded an attack percentage of .350 with 8 errors on 103 total attacks
• Added 56 digs on the week while also having five blocks
• Aided Montana Western to a 2-0 week with wins over Carroll (Mont.) and Rocky Mountain (Mont.)

NAIA Women's Volleyball Defender of the Week

Darla Crow, Bethel (Kan.) – SO – Middle Blocker

• Totaled 15 blocks (14 assisted) in two matches for an average of 1.88 blocks per set
• Had 10 assisted blocks in a 3-2 victory over Kansas Wesleyan
• Also added four digs and 20 kills
• Led Bethel to a pair of wins over Kansas Wesleyan and Saint Mary (Kan.)

NAIA Women's Volleyball Setter of the Week 

Rhys Layton, Montana Tech – SO – Setter

• Recorded 114 assists for an average of 12.67 assists per set in two matches
• Had a double-double in a 3-2 win over Montana State-Northern with a personal best 62 assists and 11 digs
• Added 19 digs on the week with seven kills
• Aided Montana Tech to wins over Montana Northern and Providence (Mont.)
