2024 NAIA Women’s Volleyball All-Americans and Special Awards
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The 2024 NAIA Women’s Volleyball All-America Teams, as well as the 2024 NAIA Player of the Year, Attacker of the Year, Defender of the Year and Coach of the Year have been announced.
For the second consecutive year, the 2024 NAIA Women’s Volleyball Player and Attacker of the Year is Eva Joldersma of Indiana Wesleyan. Joldersma set a season-high of 27 kills against Marian (Ind.) in November. The junior ended the season with a total of 568 kills and averaged 4.4 kills per set while recording an attack percentage just shy of .300 (.296). The outside hitter ranks first in the nation in points (637.5) and is second in multiple categories, including kills (568), kills per set (4.4) and total attacks (1400).
For the second consecutive year, the 2024 NAIA Women’s Volleyball Setter of the Year is Abbigail Porter of Indiana Wesleyan. Porter set a season-high 63 assists against Cornerstone (Mich.) in October. The junior ranks No. 1 in the nation in both assists (1481) and assists per set (11.75) on the season.
For the third consecutive year, the 2024 NAIA Women’s Volleyball Defender of the Year is Ellie Holen of Jamestown (N.D.). Holen finished the season with 5.83 digs per set, which landed her at No. 1 in the nation in that category. She also ranks third in the nation in digs on the season with 490. The libero set a season-high of 37 digs during the regular season against Dakota State in October.
The 2024 NAIA Women’s Volleyball Coach of the Year is Trish Siedlik of Bellevue (Neb.). Siedlik led her team to the championship match this season for the first time in program history. The Bruins finished the season as runner-up with a record of 32-5. In her 19th season, she nears the 700-win mark with an overall coaching record of 664-221.
Northwestern (Iowa) boasts the most All-Americans, with three players garnering All-America recognition.
The NAIA-VCA Executive Committee selects the NAIA All-America teams during the NAIA Championship. The pool of candidates comes from the All-Conference/CAC teams.
