2023 NAIA Women's Volleyball Coaches Top 25 Rating - No. 4 (October 11)
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Concordia (Neb.) remains at No. 1 in the latest edition of the 2023 NAIA Women's Volleyball Coaches' Top 25 Rating. Four other teams remained at the same rank as the last poll: Missouri Baptist, Park (Mo.), Columbia (Mo.) and Southern Oregon. Seven conferences are represented in the Top 10. The Great Plains Athletic Conference boasts three teams in the Top 10, while the Cascade Collegiate Conference follows with two. Two teams joined the Top 25 this week in Bethel (Ind.) and Saint Katherine (Calif.).
Rating Methodology
- The rating was rated by a panel of head coaches representing each of the conferences/Continental Athletic Conference (Independents)/unaffiliated groups.
- The Coaches Top 25 is determined by a points system based on how each voter ranks the best teams. A team receives 30 points for each first-place vote, 29 for second place and so on through the list.
- The highest and lowest ranking for each team (a non-rating is considered a low rating) is removed and the team's ranking will be recalculated with an additional point added to each team for every ballot (including discounted ballots) that the teams appear on.
- Teams that receive only one point on the ballot are not considered "receiving votes"
