Players of the week are evaluated on their performance during the week prior to the announcement. Each player is selected out of a pool of conference and Association of Independent Institution's award winners.

Finished AMC Tournament with the top hitting percentage (.466) and second in kills/set (4.3) ... was one kill shy of a career-best registering a season-high 16 kills vs. No. 3 seed Columbia in the AMC Championship match ... Helped guide MBU to its first AMC Tournament title in 15 years ... Named All-AMC First Team

Defender of the Week: Kaitlyn McMahan, Olivet Nazarene (Ill.)

Kaitlyn McMahan lifted the Tigers to a Conference Championship win this past week. McMahan's 37 digs is good for tied for second all-time in a single match in program history. McMahan also added 48 more digs combined in her two other matches this week. The Grant Park, Ill. native added a pair of service aces and eight assists.

Attacker of the Week: Natalie Martin, Bushnell (Ore.)

 

Martin took over during her final home weekend. Set a new Bushnell single-match record for attack percentage on Friday (.842) and scored over a third of the team's points. Beacons finished tied for third in the CCC, the highest finish in school history.

Attacker of the Week: Jill Kavalauskas, St. Ambrose (Iowa)

Kavalauskas averaged nearly 23 kills over three matches last week and committed a total of 13 hitting errors. Her best performance came in the team's lone loss of the week. She had 31 kills to set a Governors State opponent and Governors State arena record in a 3-2 road loss. Kavalauskas is the first St. Ambrose player to record at least 30 kills in a match since the 2010 season.

Foy is 1st in NAIA in hitting percentage (.480), seven percentage points higher than the next best hitter. The senior middle blocker is 4th in Sooner Athletic Conference in kills per set (3.1). Foy is also tied for team lead with Veronika Webb in total blocks (48.0)

Monson averaged 9.0 digs per set in the two matches. She had 36 digs in the match with Southwestern, averaging 12 digs per set in that match. She then followed with 36 more digs in the 5-set win over Oklahoma Wesleyan. She had one receive error in 78 tries on the weekend. Also added a few assists when our setter picked digs on plays and she becomes the setter. Huge effort for Monson on the weekend.

Setter of the Week: Janelle Skinner, Olivet Nazarene (Ill.)

Janelle Skinner had a career week. Against IU-Northwest, Skinner notched 52 assists, which is the 10th best single-match total in ONU history. She added seven digs in that contest as well. In the match against IU-South Bend, Skinner amassed 63 assists, which stands in 6th place all-time for a single match in ONU History. She also added 16 digs, a block assist, and a kill in that match.

Attacker of the Week: Maddie Polzin, Dakota State (S.D.)

Polzin kicked off the match with three consecutive kills to hit her 1,000-career milestone in DSU's 3-0 home sweep over Presentation (S.D.). She followed up with an impressive career-high 29 kills in a 3-1 home win over (RV) Mayville State (N.D.). Polzin smashed 10 kills in the opening set and recorded two kills in the first three points in each of the first three sets.

Defender of the Week: Marin Black, Life (Ga.)

Black totaled 128 digs across a four-game span. She started the week with a new career-high of 43 digs in the win over Faulkner. She then tied this career-high mark again in the win over Thomas More. The lone loss came to No. 22 Keiser as she finished with more than 20 digs in a pair of three-set matches. She currently leads the Mid-South with a 6.4 average per set and also leads the conference in total digs with 538. She is ranked fourth in the NAIA in total digs and seventh in digs per set.

Groft posted a double-double of a season-high 54 set assists and collected 15 digs in helping Dakota State (S.D.) defeat (RV) Mayville State (N.D.) 3-1. She also had 34 set assists and six digs in the 3-0 sweep over Presentation (S.D.) in their first volleyball action since Oct. 21.

Tapigliani had a match-best and season-high 20 kills on a .486 hitting percentage (the previous season-high was 12) and added seven digs, three blocks, one ace and one assist. Led MBU to its 14th-straight win and 24th win in a row at home

Salak dished out 55 assists in Oklahoma City University's 3-2 win over Texas Wesleyan on Monday at Abe Lemons Arena. Salak, a junior from McKinney, Texas, turned in her sixth career 50-assist performance.

Senior libero Maegan Plunk made history in MACU's five-set upset at Oklahoma Wesleyan by setting the program's record for the most digs in a single match with 46, averaging 9.2 digs per set. Plunk shattered the previous record set by Shelbi Johnson in 2010 with 38 while also tallying 10 digs higher than her previous career-high of 36 set last season.
