Two Matches, Two Shutout Wins, Earns Horton of Reinhardt (Ga.) Defensive Player of the Week Honors
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Sophomore goalkeeper Reagan Horton secured a pair of blank sheets last week while keeping busy in the box for the Eagles of Reinhardt (Ga.) to earn NAIA Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week honors.
In a tightly contested match against (RV) Tennessee Wesleyan, Horton was called upon 11 different times, lifting her squad to a 1-0 victory on their home pitch. She followed up the nail-biting game with three saves against Columbia (S.C.), raising her total saves for the week to 14 with a perfect 1.000 save percentage.
Horton and company are back in action tomorrow, October 8, when Johnson (Tenn.) comes to town, before hitting the road for one game on Saturday, the 11th, against Union Commonwealth (Ky.).
