Indiana Wesleyan Bested by William Carey (Miss.) In Hard Fought Battle

PENSACOLA, Fla. - [Championship Bracket | Final Site Schedule | Watch Live | Live Stats] Indiana Wesleyan dropped a hard-fought battle with second-seeded William Carey (Miss.) on day two of the NAIA Women's Soccer National Championship on December 3, where the Crusaders emerged victorious with a 2-0 win. William Carey (Miss.) dominated possession and created more scoring opportunities throughout the match.

The first goal came in the 35th minute when Christina Salmon scored unassisted to give William Carey (Miss.) a 1-0 lead. Salmon continued her impressive performance in the second half, scoring another goal in the 86th minute to secure a 2-0 victory for the Crusaders.

Despite some efforts from Indiana Wesleyan, they were unable to find the back of the net and were ultimately shut out by William Carey's defense. Goalkeeper Nerea Pallas had a solid performance, making crucial saves to keep Indiana Wesleyan off the scoreboard.

Overall, William Carey's strong performance on both ends of the field proved to be the difference in the match, as they secured the win and improved their record to 21-1-1 with a spot in Thursday's Quarterfinals.
