Qualifiers for the 2023 NAIA Women's Lacrosse Championship Announced

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – [BRACKET] The NAIA has officially announced the eight qualifiers and bracket for the 2023 NAIA Women's Lacrosse National Championship. The event will take place in Detroit, Mich., May 3-6.

This year's field includes five automatic qualifiers and three at-large bids. The automatic qualifiers were determined by the conference/group tournament winners. The remaining at-large bids were determined by a selection committee.

The NAIA Network – the association's official video-streaming home – will broadcast all matches live at the 2023 NAIA Women's Lacrosse National Championship. The video platform, powered by Stretch Internet, allows users access to live video, statistics and social interaction on a number of devices, including mobile. Single-day passes and championship passes are available for purchase.

 

Qualifier Highlights

  • Women's lacrosse is in its third year as a championship sport in the NAIA

  • Seven of the eight teams qualified for the previous two championships

  • Defending national champion Benedictine (Kan.) returns to the championship field

  • The first champion, Keiser (Fla.) also returns to the championship field

  • There is one new team in the championship field, Missouri Baptist 

  • There are three teams from Georgia who are advancing to the championship: Life, SCAD Savannah and Reinhardt
