2023-24 NAIA Women's Basketball Player of the Week - No. 10 (February 20)
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Maya Buckhanon of Fisk (Tenn.) has been named the NAIA Women’s Basketball Player of the Week. Buckhanon was selected based on their performances from February 12 - 18 and was chosen out of a pool of conference/Continental Athletic Conference (Independents)/unaffiliated group nominees.
Players of the week are announced weekly throughout the regular season on Tuesdays on naia.org, Instagram and Twitter.

NAIA Women's Basketball Player of the Week
Maya Buckhanon, Fisk (Tenn.) - SR - Power Forward
- On Thursday at Dillard, she scored 37 points on 12-of-20 shooting from the field, 13-of 19 from the free throw line in her team's 68-62 win.
- Against SUNO, she scored her 1,000th career point in two seasons at Fisk early in the second quarter.
- She then went on the break the school record by any Fisk player, scoring 60 points, and also grabbed 19 rebounds.
- The 60-point effort was two short of the NAIA record and is the highest of any NAIA Women's player in the 21st century.
