2023 NAIA Women's Basketball All-Americans, Player of the Year and Coach of the Year

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced the 2022-23 Women's Basketball All-America Teams. Ella Collier of Marian (Ind.) was named the 2023 NAIA National Player of the Year and Courtney Boyd of Clarke (Iowa) was named the 2023 NAIA National Coach of the Year.

There was only one school that had more than one player on a single team. Loyola (La.) had two players on the third team.

Central Methodist (Mo.) had one player on all three teams. Leianya Massenat was on the first team, Leah Johnson was on the second team and Daryna Bachkarova was on the third team.

Sterling (Kan.) had one player on two teams. Taya Wilson on the second team and Karsen Schultz on the third team.

Ella Collier of Marian (Ind.) was named the 2023 Player of the Year. Collier was also named the Crossroads League player of the year as she led her team in several categories on the season such as field goal percentage (55.6), free throw percentage (93.6) and points (593). As a junior, Collier has well surpassed 1,000 career points as she closed the 2023 season at 1,594 career points.

Coach Courtney Boyd of Clarke (Iowa), in her sixth season, was named the NAIA Women’s Basketball Coach of the Year after finishing the season 33-4. Boyd coached her team to a win in the title game for the first time in program history this year and stands as the program’s all-time leader in head coaching wins with a record of 155-42. Boyd is also the ninth female head coach to coach her team to an NAIA Women’s Basketball national title.

All of the selections are made by the All-America Committee and are comprised of first, second and third teams as well as honorable mention. There are 12 members on each of the first three All-America teams.
