2024 NAIA Softball Players of the Week - No. 4 (March 19)
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Kacie Schmidt of Oregon Tech has been named the NAIA Softball Pitcher of the Week and Kaila Mick of Oregon Tech has been named the NAIA Softball Player of the Week. The duo was selected based on their performances from March 11-17 and were chosen out of a pool of conference/Continental Athletic Conference (Independents)/unafilliated group nominees.
Players of the Week are announced weekly throughout the regular season on Tuesdays on naia.org, Instagram, and Twitter.

NAIA Softball Pitcher of the Week
Kacie Schmidt, Oregon Tech - JR - RHP
- Big week in the circle for Schmidt as she tossed two complete games and two full innings of relief.
- helped facilitate the sweep of No. 8 and reigning national champion Southern Oregon allowing just nine hits and two runs.
- Struck out 10 batters for an average of 4.29 K/7 with a 0.43 ERA on the week.
NAIA Softball Player of the Week
Kaila Mick, Oregon Tech - GR - SS
- Mick's bat was hot last week, going 10-for-11 at the plate against Southern Oregon.
- With three doubles, one triple, a home run, and five extra-base hits, she posted a .909 batting average.
- Also because the first Oregon Tech player in recorded history to hit for the cycle.
