2024 NAIA Softball World Series Preview
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – [SCHEDULE | BRACKET | TICKETS] The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) is set to kick off play in the 43rd annual NAIA Softball World Series on May 23-29 at the South Commons Softball Complex in Columbus, Ga. Southern Oregon has brought the coveted red banner back to Ashland three out of the last four World Series, While Oklahoma City has the most titles in this year's field with 11; their most recent title coming back in 2022.
The World Series is a 10-team, double-elimination tournament where the winner will be crowned May 29.
Seeds were determined by the National Seection Committee. This committee consists of one representative from each Area Rating Committee (ARC), a representative from the National Administrative Council, an officer of the NAIA Softball Coaches Association, and three at-large members.
Game one will feature No. 7-seeded Jessup (Calif.) who will face another west coast team in No. 10-seed Southern Oregon at 10:00 a.m. ET. The winner of this contest will face No. 2-seeded Oklahoma City on Friday, May 24th.
In game two, No. 8-seeded Madonna (Mich.) will battle with No. 9 Georgia Gwinnett at 1:00 p.m. ET. The winner will move on to play on Friday against top-seeded Our Lady of the Lake (Texas).
In the 4:00 p.m. ET tilt on Thursday, No. 4-seeded Patriots of Cumberlands (Ky.) will look for their first World Series win in program history as they battle No. 5-seed Oregon Tech. The winner of this duel won't play again until game 11 on Saturday at 4:00 p.m. ET.
In the nightcap at 7:00 p.m. ET, it will feature the No. 3 Eagles of Central Methodist (Mo.) which will face No. 6-seeded Science & Arts (Okla.). The Drovers are one of four teams in the field with a previous Red Banner to its credit. That winner will advance to play the winner of Friday’s game featuring the No. 2 seed Oklahoma City on Saturday, May 25.

Hudl TV will be the official home of NAIA Softball World Series streaming. It will broadcast all games from Columbus, Georgia through Game 15 on Monday. Single-day and all-championship passes can be purchased HERE. Games on Tuesday and Wednesday will be streamed exclusively on ESPN3 and are not included in packages on Hudl TV.
World Series Field Highlights
- Eight conferences are represented in Columbus, Ga. this year with the Cascade and Sooner conferences leading the way with two each
- The most common school color of the ten teams is a shade of blue, with six teams sporting the color in some form
- There has been a total of 16 red banners won by teams in the 2024 World Series with Oklahoma City leading the way with 11
- The ten teams in this year's World Series have a combined record of 428-77 (84.75%)
- Six opening round bracket winners ran through their site without taking a loss
- Eight states will be represented in Georgia this year, including the home state team of Georgia Gwinnett
- The Grizzlies are the closest team to South Commons at only 139 miles, while Southern Oregon and Oregon Tech travel the farthest at 2,696 and 2,636 miles, respectively
- Three teams won both their respective conference regular season and tournament titles, two teams won just their conference regular season title, two were the champions of their conference tournament, and three teams received an at-large berth
