CONWAY, Ark. -- The No. 5-ranked Central Baptist College (Ark.) Lady Mustangs broke the NAIA national singles-season homerun record by belting out 13 roundtrippers in a doubleheader sweep of Hillsdale Freewill Baptist College (Okla.) and won the games 27-0 and 24-2.  CBC now has 109 total homeruns on the year, breaking the old record of 96 held by Oklahoma City University from 2009. CBC has an overall record of 45-2 on the year and is currently leading the nation in 10 offensive categories.

The Lady Mustangs compiled 92 last season, which ranks for the third-most in NAIA single-season history.

CBC is led offensively by sophomore Christen Kirchner, who is batting .532 with 18 homers and 62 RBIs, followed very closely by senior Kayla Lucas who is batting .452 with 16 homers and 63 RBIs. The Lady Mustangs are batting .428 overall as a team with the 109 homers and 445 RBI.

Not to be overlooked in the offensive display in game one against Hillsdale, freshman pitcher Emily Guess threw a perfect game and struck out all 15 batters she faced in the five-inning game.  Guess is now 9-0 on the year for the Lady Mustangs with a .94 ERA.
