NAIA RECOGNIZES 2008-09 TEAM NATIONAL CHAMPIONS

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics is proud to recognize the 2008-09 team national champions. In all, there were 23 team championships awarded during the athletic season. Azusa Pacific University (Calif.) won the most team titles this season taking home the women’s cross country hardware, men’s indoor track and field trophy and men’s outdoor track and field title. Cal Baptist (softball, men’s swimming & diving), Fresno Pacific (men’s tennis, volleyball) and Wayland Baptist (women’s indoor track and field, women’s outdoor track and field) were the other schools to win multiple team titles.

 

There were nine schools that won their first ever team national title.
