California Baptist Stays No. 1 in NAIA Softball Rating

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - California Baptist maintained its No. 1 ranking in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) softball ratings for the fifth straight week.  The Lancers collected all first place votes and were unanimous choice for the fourth consecutive week with 300 total points.

 

Point Loma Nazarene (Calif.) remained in the second position with 288 total points for the fifth straight week and Oklahoma City stayed at No. 3 with 272 total points for the second consecutive rating.  Mobile (Ala.) moved up a spot to No. 4 with 260 total points while No. 5 Trevecca Nazarene (Tenn.) dropped a spot with 255 total points to round out the top-five.

 

Lee (Tenn.) moved back into top-25 at No. 24 after dropping out in week two.

 

The final rating of the 2008 season will be released on Wednesday, May 7.
