Oklahoma City Remains Unbeaten in Pool B

Oklahoma City University remains the lone unbeaten team in Pool B with 3-1 victory over Simon Fraser University at 2007 NAIA Softball National Championship

DECATUR, Ala. - Oklahoma City University remained the only undefeated team in Pool B as they beat Simon Fraser University 3-1 at the 2007 NAIA Softball National Championship Saturday (May 19) morning at Wilson Morgan Park.

The second-seeded Stars improved to 48-6 overall and to 3-0 in the pool while the fourth-seeded Clan fell to 22-3 and 2-1. Both teams wrap up pool play later today. Oklahoma City will tangle will Lee University at 2:30 p.m. while Simon Fraser will play at 5 p.m. against Vanguard University.

OCU took a 1-0 lead in the fourth on a sacrifice fly from Mindy Crabaugh that scored Brittani Ellis, who started the inning with a single to center.

The Stars made the score 2-0 an inning later on Cat Calvert's homer to right. Oklahoma City got its final run in the sixth on Kasey Hobens' single to center field.

The Clan got a run back in the sixth on Terra Davenport's double down the left-field line that scored Erin McLean, who starting the inning with an infield single - her second hit of the game.
