Dickinson State (N.D.) Blasts Nine Home Runs in Doubleheader Sweep

DICKINSON, N.D. - Dickinson State (N.D.) blasted nine homeruns - by eight different players - in a double header versus Black Hills State University.

In game one the Hawks shattered the school record for homeruns in a game, with blasting six en-route to a 19-1 win. The previous school record was three.

In game two the Hawks hot bats stayed alive with hitting three more homeruns leading them to a 14-1 victory.

The Blue Hawks are currently fourth in the nation in team batting average (.393), second in the nation in slugging percentage (.649), second in the nation in runs scored per game (9.21), third in the nation in hits per game (11.04), second in the nation in runs batted in per game (8.89), second in the nation in doubles per game (3.07), and fifth in the nation in homeruns per game (1.18).

The Blue Hawks are currently 19-5 overall and leading the Dakota Athletic Conference with a 9-1 record.
