NAIA Men’s Tennis All-Americans Released

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has officially announced the 2022 NAIA Men’s Tennis All-America teams. Honorees were selected by the NAIA All-America Selection Committee. Sixteen student-athletes comprise both the first and second teams.

National champion Georgia Gwinnett led all schools with five four-team selections and six overall. Matthias Haim,

Alex Gurmendi, Agustin Tamagnone, and Valentino Caratini represented the Grizzlies on the first team while Vicente Lagos and Guilhem Perez Le Tiec were named second-team selections. Gurmendi was named the Ward-Ballinger Outstanding Player at the national championship over the weekend.

Indiana Wesleyan had the second-most selections on the first team with three. Jeremias Rocco, Martin Carrizo and Leo Sprovieri represented the Wildcats on the top team. Two student-athletes represented national championship runner-up Keiser (Fla.) on the first team. Luke Simkiss and Geronimo Barrios were both honored with first-team honors for the Seahawks. Simkiss completed his season 29-2 in singles play..

National Championship Runner-Up Keiser (Fla.), and San Diego Christian (Calif.) were also well represented on the top team with two selections. All totaled, Georgia Gwinnett leads all schools with six selections to the two teams combined. Keiser is second with five and Indiana Wesleyan’s three selections were third.
