KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Jamie Wynne of William Carey (Miss.) has been named the NAIA Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week and Elias Salminen of William Carey (Miss.) has been named the NAIA Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week. The Crusader duo was selected based on their performances from September 4-10 and were chosen out of a pool of conference/Continental Athletic Conference (Independents)/unaffiliated group nominees. 

Players of the Week are announced weekly throughout the regular-season on Tuesday's on naia.org, Instagram and Twitter.

NAIA Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week

Jamie Wynne, William Carey (Miss.) - SO - Forward

• Tallied a career high 11 points, scoring in each contest with assists in two of the three. 
• Recorded the game winning goals against William Penn (Iowa) and LSU Shreveport (La.).
• William Carey is riding a five game win streak. 

NAIA Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week

Elias Salminen, William Carey (Miss.) - SO - Defender

• Anchored a back line that only surrendered one goal, which was a PK, in three games and allowed only five shots on goal.  
• The shutout vs. William Penn came two days after the Statesmen scored four against then-No. 2 Mobile. 
• The Crusaders are 5-1-1 on the season.
