2024 NAIA Men's Lacrosse Players of the Week - No. 2 (March 5)

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Breck Putzier of William Penn (Iowa) has been named the NAIA Men's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week, and Lucas Martinez of SCAD Savannah (Ga.) has been named the NAIA Men's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week. The duo was selected based on their performances from February 26- March 3 and were chosen out of a pool of conference/Continental Athletic Conference (Independents)/unafilliated group nominees. 

Players of the Week are announced weekly throughout the regular season on Tuesdays on naia.org, Instagram, and Twitter.

NAIA Men's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week

Breck Putzier, William Penn (Iowa) - JR - Attacker

  • Tallied eight points (six goals, two assists) against Missouri Baptist and 11 points (seven goals, four assists) against Taylor (Ind.).
  • Posted 32 total shots last week, sending 65.6% of those shots on goal.
  • Added a pair of caused turnovers to his stat line.

NAIA Men's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week

Lucas Martinez, SCAD Savannah (Ga.) - SO - Faceoff

  • Was a big part in helping the Bees go 2-0 last week, which included an upset against No. 8 Madonna (Mich.).
  • He was near perfect on faceoffs, going 19-of-20 at the X.
  • Chipped in offensively as well with one goal and one assist.
