KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Tyler Schmidt of Olivet Nazarene (Ill.) has been named the NAIA Men's Basketball National Player of the Week. Schmidt was selected based on his performance(s) from February 12-18 and was chosen out of a pool of conference/group nominees.

Players of the Week are announced weekly throughout the regular season on Tuesdays on naia.org, Instagram and Twitter.

NAIA Men's Basketball Player of the Week 

Tyler Schmidt - Olivet Nazarene (Ill.) - SR - Guard

• Recorded a career-high 40 points and added 11 rebounds against Trinity Christian (Ill.) on Saturday
• Averaged 33 points and 8.5 rebounds a game over the course of the Tigers' two wins
• Went 12-for-16 from the floor (75%) and went 3-for-5 from beyond the arc (60%) on the week
