2025 NAIA Baseball GoRout Coaches’ Top 25 – No. 2 (March 19)
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – LSU Shreveport (La.) claimed all 19 first-place votes to retain the top spot in the second regular-season installment of the 2025 NAIA GoRout Baseball Coaches’ Top 25.
Tennessee Wesleyan remained No. 2, followed by a top-five shuffle that saw Georgia Gwinnett move to No. 3, replacing Southeastern (Fla.), now No. 4, and Reinhardt (Ga.) up a spot to No. 5 this week.
Johnson (Tenn.) was the big mover, this week, landing at No. 19 after receiving votes earlier this month, and William Carey (Miss.) moved in to the top 10, up four spots to No. 8. The next rating is slated for Wednesday, April 2.
Rating Methodology
- The rating was voted upon by a panel of head coaches representing each of the NAIA’s baseball conferences.
- The Top 25 is determined by a points system based on how each rater’s 30-team ballot. A team receives 30 points for each first-place vote, 29 for second-place and so on through the list.
- The highest and lowest ranking for each team (a non-rating is considered a low rating) is removed, and the team’s ranking will be recalculated with an additional point added to each team for every ballot (including discounted ballots) that the teams appear on.
- Teams that receive only one point on the ballot are not considered “receiving votes”.
