KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Emily Kearney of SCAD Atlanta (Ga.) has been named the NAIA National Runner of the Week the national office announced Wednesday. Kearney was selected based on her performances from Sept. 30 – Oct. 6 and was chosen out of a pool of conference and Association of Independent Institution winners.

• Finished fifth of 343 runners in the 5k with a time of 16:56.4
• Finished 13.3 seconds behind the front runner
• Was to top NAIA finisher in the meet
