KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Esther Kolawole of William Penn (Iowa) has been named the NAIA Women’s Wrestler of the Week. The winner was selected based on performances from January 27 - February 2 and was chosen out of a pool of conference/Continental Athletic Conference (Independents)/unaffiliated group nominees. 

Wrestlers of the Week are announced weekly throughout the regular season on Wednesdays on naia.org, Instagram and X.

NAIA Women’s Wrestler of the Week

Esther Kolawole, William Penn (Iowa) - FR - 138

• Kolawole was dominant in the Grand View Open last weekend, putting up five victories by tech fall.
• She outscored her opponents 51-0, defeating three ranked wrestlers in the NAIA and NCAA.
• All five of her matches were over in the first period.
