2024 NAIA Women's Wrestling Preliminary Brackets Released

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - (Brackets – PDF | Watch LiveThe Preliminary Brackets for the second annual NAIA Women's Wrestling National Championships have been released by the National Office. Hosted at Harold Newman Arena, the event takes place on March 8th and 9th.

Brackets were determined by a 10-member committee consisting of conference raters and oversight members from each of the five sponsoring conferences in the NAIA. A total of 210 wrestlers were placed within the 10 weight classes. All matches at the national championships will be streamed live via FloWrestling

Each conference tournament awards automatic bids per weight class based on the final regular-season rating, which can be seen HERE. Each conference is awarded automatic berths based on the number of wrestlers ranked in each weight class. Each conference is awarded a minimum of one automatic bid per weight class, which will go to the tournament champions, even if the conference did not have any wrestlers ranked in the final regular-season rating. If a conference does not have an individual ranked in the final top 16 an allocation will be granted to ensure each conference is represented at each weight class at the National Championships.

Five teams will bring a full complement of 12 wrestlers to the championships including Life (Ga.), Menlo (Calif.), Providence (Mont.), Southern Oregon, and Texas Wesleyan. Grand View (Iowa) and Oklahoma City will travel 11 while Campbellsville (Ky.) and Missouri Baptist sport 10 each.

The Cascade Collegiate Conference leads with 53 student-athletes each while the Mid-South Conference and Sooner Athletic Conference follow with 48 and 39 student-athletes, respectively.
