KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Kayla McKinley-Johnson of Menlo (Calif.) has been named the Yes! Athletics NAIA Women’s Wrestler of the Week. McKinley-Johnson was selected based on her performance(s) from January 29 - February 4 and was chosen out of a pool of conference/Continental Athletic Conference (Independents)/unaffiliated group nominees. 

Wrestlers of the Week are announced weekly throughout the regular season on Wednesdays on naia.org, Instagram and Twitter.

Kayla McKinley-Johnson, Menlo (Calif.) - SO - 101

• Defeated three nationally ranked wrestlers at the Grand View Open securing one of three championship crowns for the Oaks.
• McKinley-Johnson was one of 10 Menlo wrestlers to place overall in the open.
• Two of her Grand View Open wins were via tech fall, 10-0 and 14-2 with her third match victory arriving via fall.
