Cumberlands (Ky.) Wins First NAIA Indoor Track & Field Title

GAINESVILLE, Fla [RESULTS] [RECORD BOOK] - Four NAIA Championship Records were broken on the final day of the 2025 U.S. Marines NAIA Women's Indoor Track and Field Championship inside the Alachua Sports and Recreation Complex on Saturday. 

 

Mile

Kylie Sauder of Grace (Ind.) 4:46.82 overtook the lead in the final straightaway for a new PR. This is Sauder’s first individual title.

Dylan Garcia of Montreat (N.C.) followed with a time of 4:47.29 for a new PR.

 

60m Hurdles

Briana Campbell of Life (Ga.) won her first individual title and set a new PR and NAIA championship record in the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.09.

Kiya Pogue of Indiana Tech followed with a time of 8.26 for a new PR.

 

400m

Praise Idamadudu of Cumberland (Tenn.) defended her title in the 400m race with a time of 53.91. This is Idamadudu’s second individual title.

Charity Jones of Madonna (Mich.) was the runner-up with a time of 54.57.

 

600m

Hannah Antkoviak of Olivet Nazarene (Ill.) beat the record that she set in 2024 with a time of 1:26.98, which is a new PR. This is the second individual title that Antkoviak has won.

Danie Parriott of Doane (Neb.) followed with a time of 1:32.28 for a new PR.

 

60m

Ny’tierra Hobbs of Madonna (Mich.) won the 60m dash with a time of 7.30 for a new PR and first individual title.

Briana Campbell of Life. (Ga.) followed with a time of 7.34 for a new PR.

 

800m

Emeline Delaville of Life (Ga.) defended her 800m title with a time of 2:13.30 for her first individual title.

Maci Mills of Southeastern (Fla.) followed with a time of 2:14.39.

 

1,000m

Carly Holadia of St. Mary (Kan.) won her first and the Spire’s first individual title in the 1,000m with a time of 2:53.30 for a new PR.

Abigail Mays of Taylor (Ind.) followed with a time of 2:53.30 for a new PR.

 

3,000m

Ellen-Mary Kearney of Milligan (Tenn.) claimed the title in the 3,000m run with a time of 9:38.57.

Hannah Fredericks of The Master’s (Calif.) followed with 9:39.78 for a new PR.

 

200m

Briana Campbell of Life (Ga.) won her second individual title in the 200m dash with a time of 23.59 for a new PR.

Praise Idamadudu of Cumberland (Tenn.) followed with a time of 23.65.

 

5,000m

Jaynie Halterman of Taylor (Ind.) won her first individual title, set a new PR and broke the NAIA Championship Record with a time of 16:00.14. Miriam Kaumba of Oklahoma Baptist previously held the record with a time of 16:20.97 set in 2005.

Heather Murphy of Montreat (N.C.) followed with a time of 16:33.25 for a new PR.

 

Distance Medley Relay

The Master’s (Calif.) (Palmgren, Nantz, Johnson, Fredericks) defended its title as the distance medley relay champion and broke the NAIA Championship record with a time of 11:38.18 after setting that record themselves in 2024.

Taylor (Ind.) (Mays, Domene, Funk, Vanderwall) followed with a time of 11:50.58.

 

1,600m Relay

Olivet Nazarene (Ill.) (Garth, Burdine, Lentz, Antkoviak) defended their 4x400m relay with a time of 3:45.33.

Madonna (Mich.) (Jones, Hobbs, Hamilton, Carter) followed with a time of 3:46.26.

 

Triple Jump

Fabiana Morales of William Carey (Miss.) won the triple jump with a jump of 12.31m.

Faith Brennan of Dickinson State (N.S.) followed with a mark of 12.22m.

 

Shot Put

Sydney Duncan of IU Kokomo (Ind.) won the shot put with a mark of 17.60m

Kori Nagel of Dickinson State (N.D.) followed with 15.22.

 

Cumberlands (Ky.) won its first NAIA Indoor Track and Field Red Banner with a final score of 58. Doane (Neb.) followed just 10 points back with 48. Madonna (Mich.) and Life (Ga.) were separated by one point for third and fourth place. Taylor (Ind.) rounds out the Top 5 with a total of 35 points.
