KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Veronica Pinkerton of Hastings (Neb.)has been named NAIA Women's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week, and Arriana Benjamin of Marian (Ind.) has been selected as the NAIA Women's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week. The duo was selected based on their performances from January 22-28 and were selected out of a pool of nominees from across the country.

Players of the week are announced weekly throughout the regular season on Wednesdays on naia.org, Instagram and Twitter.

NAIA Women’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week

Veronica Pinkerton, Hastings (Neb.) - SR

• Competed at the Charlie Foster Classic
• Finished 3rd of 15 athletes in the 800m with a time of 2:14
• Helped her 4x400 relay team as the anchor to a 1st place finish of 12 teams with a final time of 3:45

NAIA Women’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Week  

Arriana Benjamin, Marian (Ind.) - SR

• Competed in the IUPUI Invitational 
• Finished 2nd of 24 athletes in the weight throw with a season PR of 17.87
• Finished 2nd of 25 athletes in the shot put with a season PR of 13.82
