Nearly A Decade of Dominance Caps of the 2025 UTR NAIA Women's Tennis Championship
MOBILE, Ala. - [Bracket | Schedule] The Georgia Gwinnett Grizzlies Women’s Tennis team has secured its 10th Red Banner in program history. The Grizzlies now hold a record of 43-1 at the National Tournament after defeating the Keiser Seahawks (Fla.) 4-1.
This is the fifth meeting between the two programs at the National Tournament, where GGC has won all five and moves to 10-3 in the all-time series since 2015, where the Grizzlies won 5-1 in Mobile, Ala.
GAME NOTES AND HIGHLIGHTS
- Excluding the 2020 season championship cancellation due to the COVID-19 outbreak, Georgia Gwinnett has won the national championship for the ninth consecutive year.
- All 10 Georgia Gwinnett’s championships were won at the Mobile Tennis Center in Mobile, Ala.
- Head Coach of Georgia Gwinnett, Hannah Keeling, is named the NAIA Women’s Tennis Coach of the Year.
- Justine Lespes is the 2025 recipient of the Marvin P. Richmond Award. The Marvin P. Richmond Award is presented to the outstanding performer in the women's national championship. The award is named after the former president of the USTA and longtime supporter of NAIA tennis, Marvin P. Richmond.
