MOBILE, Ala. - [Bracket | Schedule] The quarterfinals of the UTR NAIA Women’s Tennis National Tournament saw only one low seed advance to the semifinals in 12th-seeded Tennessee Wesleyan on Wednesday at the Mobile Tennis Center.
The last time a 10-seed or below made the National semifinal was 2018, when William Woods (MO) was a 10-seed and also made the semifinal as an 11-seed in 2017.
GAME NOTES AND HIGHLIGHTS
- First-seeded Keiser (Fla.) ended SCAD Atlanta’s (Ga.) national tournament run 4-0 en route to avenging their 2024 championship match loss.
- Tennessee Wesleyan advances past Xavier (La.) to be the lowest seed in the tournament (12) and the only team to advance from the first round.
- Lindsey Wilson defeated Loyola (La.) 4-1 by winning the doubles point and one singles, two singles, three singles, and four singles.
- The reigning champion, Georgia Gwinnett, swept Middle Georgia State in an interstate battle.
