NAIA Women’s Tennis All-Americans Released

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has officially announced the 2022 NAIA Women’s Tennis All-America teams. Honorees were selected by the NAIA All-America Selection Committee. Sixteen student-athletes comprise both the first and second teams.

National champion Georgia Gwinnett led all schools with five first-team selections and six overall. Maria Genovese, Selina Pichler, Alejandra Ferrer, Iryna Lysykh and Tereza Koplova represented the Grizzlies on the first team while Liza Velykorodna was named a second-team selection. Lysykh was named the Marvin P. Richmond Outstanding Player at the national championship over the weekend.

Two student-athletes represented national championship runner-up Keiser (Fla.) on the first team. Kahea Companion and Vanja Vidanovic were both honored with first-team honors for the Seahawks.

Montreat (N.C.) and SCAD Savannah (Ga.) were also well represented on the top team with two selections apiece. All totaled, Georgia Gwinnett leads all schools with six selections to the two teams combined. Keiser and Indiana Wesleyan are second with four. Montreat, SCAD Savannah, Southeastern (Fla.) and Tennessee Wesleyan all have two selections on the two teams.
