Day Three Recap of NAIA Women’s Golf National Championship

SILVIS, Ill. – [Championship Schedule] Day Three of the 29th Annual NAIA Women's Golf National Championship was completed as scheduled, despite a rain delay in the afternoon groupings. The 2024 event is played at TPC Deere Run and hosted by Visit Quad Cities featuring 81 total student-athletes after the cut line. 

Keiser (Fla.) maintained its hold on first place, pushing their margin to a 14 stroke advantage. They were led by Hoi Ki Lau posting a 1-under score and Mohea Mansbendel shooting par. The Seahawks posted back-to-back sub-300 rounds and are the only team in the field to score mutple rounds in the 290's. Oklahoma City remains second with a round total of 309 followed by British Clumbia posting a 311.

Cumberlands (Ky.) moved up four spots from yesterday scring a 309 round total and now sit in eighth. Lindey Wilson picked up three place on Thursday's round shooting 314 which is eight shots better than their next best round. 

Keiser's Hoi Ki Lau holds a three shot lead in the individual championship hunt followed by Martha Sanchez of SCAD Atlanta (Ga.) at 221. SCAD Savannah (Ga.)'s Sharon Shan and Keiser's Jolie Wong are tied for third at 225. 

Sidney Parmer of Marian (Ind.) charged up the individual standings shooting a round high 70 and sits T35. She was one of only three people to shoot under par along with Cumberlands (Ky.) who shot 71. Taylor Wilczek from OUAZ (Ariz.) was the second and final person to shoot an even par.

Tomorrow’s fourth round will see the teams regrouped based off of the standings as the remaining individuals will start the day off with the first tee times at 7:30 a.m. CT on hole No. 1 and 7:50 on hole No. 10. The Top 15 teams will begin in reverse order off both No. 1 and No. 10 tees. Immediately following the completion of the round, the awards ceremony will be held.
