2019-20 NAIA Women's Golf Coaches' Top 25 Poll 3 (March 6)
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Keiser (Fla.) moves up two spots to claim the No. 1 spot the third edition of the NAIA Coaches’ Top 25. The Seahawks received 15 first place votes and a total of 526 points.
Top 25 Highlights (historical information dates back to 2007)
- Keiser (Fla.) is currently No. 1 on Golfstat the team shot 298-292-299 at their last tournament beating Taylor by 36 and Dalton by 53.
- The Sun Conference is also home to No. 2 SCAD Savannah (Ga.) who has also been playing well this year. The Bees shot an awesome 292-302-291 at their last NCAA Division I tournament.
- Loyola (La.) has been playing well this spring. The Wolf Pack cracked the top ten this week moving up six spots from the previous poll.
- No. 18 Coastal Georgia and No. 25 William Woods (Mo.) both joined the poll this week.
- No. 3 SCAD Savannah (Ga.) leads the NAIA Active Polls Streak with 87 consecutive appearances dating back to the 2007 season.
Poll Methodology
- The poll was voted upon by a panel of head coaches representing each of the conferences.
- Each conference is given one rater for every four schools in the league.
- The Top 25 is determined by a points system based on how each voter ranks the best teams. A team receives 25 points for each first-place vote, 24 for second-place and so on through the list.
- The highest and lowest ranking for each team (a non-rating is considered a low rating) is removed and the team’s ranking will be recalculated with an additional point added to each team for every ballot (including discounted ballots) that the teams appear on.
- Teams that receive only one point in the ballot are not considered “receiving votes.
