STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. – [BRACKET | SCHEDULE | LIVE STREAM] - The 2023 NAIA Women's Bowling National Championship at 5 Star Lanes has dwindled to only four teams left after the 12 who began double-elimination play today. The SCAD Savannah (Ga.) Bees are the undefeated squad on the top of the bracket and will face the winner of the consolation bracket. Indiana Tech, Spring Arbor (Mich.) and Madonna (Mich.).

Round One Highlights

  • No. 9 Milligan pulled a 3-2 upset to kick off the day staying in the winners bracket
  • All other higher seeds moved on in Ottawa (Kan.) and Pikeville (Tenn.) winning 3-0 an Tennessee Southern outlasting 3-2

Round Two Highlights

  • Winning the first pair of games, Indiana Tech then was pushed to the limit before drawing out the 3-2 victory
  • Baker (Kan.) and Ottawa alternated game victories throughout the first three before the Braves secured both the fourth and fifth games
  • SCAD Savannah (Ga.) won sets 1, 3, and 5 to move into the semifinals
  • St. Francis (Ill.) posted nearly identical 224 and 222 scores to defeat the Pikeville Bears

Round Three Highlights

  • Spring Arbor staves off elimination by putting up 196 in the fourth game
  • Pikeville won the last three games to march forward in the consolation bracket
  • Madonna pulled an upset thanks to third and fourth game wins
  • William Penn clawed back from down 2-0 to continue their championship dreams
  • Tennessee Southern, Cumberlands (Ky.), Milligan, and Baker are eliminated from championship play

Round Four Highlights

  • SCAD secured a berth in the tomorrow’s action by winning 3-1
  • Indiana Tech was pushed the distance after falling behind 2-1
  • In the bottom half of the bracket, The SAU Cougars pulled a second straight upset to keep fighting, winning by a 3-2 score
  • Pikeville and William Penn are eliminated from championship play

Round Five Highlights

  • The SCAD Bees bested the top team in the bracket, winning 3-1
  • SAU won the first team games on their way to a 3-1 count in the consolation bracket
  • Madonna secured a third victory in a row, to remain chasing the Red Banner
  • Ottawa and St. Francis are eliminated from championship play
