KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Aaron Gandara of Southern Oregon has been named the NAIA Men’s Wrestler of the Week. Gandara was selected based on their performance from January 8-14 and was chosen out of a pool of conference/Continental Athletic Conference (Independents)/unaffiliated group nominees. 

Wrestlers of the Week are announced weekly throughout the regular season on Wednesdays on naia.org, Instagram and Twitter.

NAIA Men’s Wrestler of the Week

Aaron Gandara, Southern Oregon - JR - 157 

• Went 3-0 on the week, including a win over the No. 9-ranked wrestler in his weight class
• Helped No. 16 SOU upset No. 3 Menlo (Calif.) and No. 11 Embry-Riddle (Ariz.)
• Since returning to the lineup last week, he has taken down four ranked individuals
