2024 NAIA Men's Volleyball Coaches' Top 15 Rating - Rating No. 3 (March 6)
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Vanguard (Calif.), the defending national champions, returned to No. 1 in the latest edition of the 2024 NAIA Men's Volleyball Coaches' Top 15 Rating. The Lions were last ranked No. 1 in the preseason rating. Grand View (Iowa) moved into the Top 5 this week as the team rides a six-match win streak. Four teams joined the Top 15 this week: Missouri Valley, Lourdes (Ohio), Westcliff (Calif.) and Indiana Tech.
Rating Methodology
- The rating was rated by a panel of head coaches. There are two coaches representing each of the conferences/Continental Athletic Conference (Independents)/unaffiliated groups.
- The Coaches' Top 15 is determined by a points system based on how each voter ranks the best teams. A team receives 20 points for each first-place vote, 19 for second place and so on through the list.
- The highest and lowest ranking for each team (a non-rating is considered a low rating) is removed and the team's ranking will be recalculated with an additional point added to each team for every ballot (including discounted ballots) that the teams appear on.
- Teams that receive only one point on the ballot are not considered "receiving votes"
