KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Emery Outin of OUAZ (Ariz.) has been named the NAIA Men’s Volleyball Attacker of the Week, Andres Valez of Saint Xavier (Ill.) has been named the NAIA Men’s Volleyball Defender of the Week and William Lawler of Menlo (Calif.) has been named the NAIA Men's Volleyball Setter of the Week. The trio was selected based on their performances from February 5 - 11 and were chosen out of a pool of conference nominees.

Players of the Week are announced weekly throughout the regular season on Tuesdays on naia.org, Instagram and Twitter.

NAIA Men's Volleyball Attacker of the Week 

Emery Outin, OUAZ (Ariz.) - SR - Outside Hitter

• Posted a total of 46 kills in 11 sets for an average of 4.18 kills per set
• Recorded an impressive 0.455 attack percentage
• Notched a week-high of 25 kills against Saint Katherine (Calif.)
• Added seven aces, 10 assists, 18 digs and four total blocks to his stat line

NAIA Men's Volleyball Defender of the Week

Andres Velez, Saint Xavier (Ill.) - SO - Libero

• Notched 30 total digs in seven sets for an average of 4.29
• Recorded only one receive error on 43 total receptions (0.976)
• Helped his team to a 2-0 week with wins over Viterbo (Wis.) and Jamestown (N.D.)

NAIA Men's Volleyball Setter of the Week 

William Lawler, Menlo (Calif.) - SO - Setter

• Totaled 137 assists in 12 sets
• Averaged 11.42 assists per set
• Helped his team to a 2-1 week with wins over Lourdes (Ohio) and Georgetown (Ky.)
• Added five kills, 24 digs and four total blocks to his stat line
