KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Zach Turner of Doane (Neb.) has been named the NAIA Men's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week, while Christian Rios of Marian (Ind.) has been named the NAIA Men's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week. The duo was selected based on their performances from April 7-14 and were chosen from a pool of conference/Continental Athletic Conference (Independents)/unaffiliated group nominees.

Athletes of the Week are announced on Wednesday on naia.org, Instagram, and X throughout the regular season.

NAIA Men's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week 

Zach Turner, Doane (Neb.) - SR

• Competed in the Doane-NWU Dual
• Won two events marked by "A" standards
• Finished the 110m hurdles with a time of 13.78
• Aided his 4x400m relay team to a 3:12.58 finish

NAIA Men's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week

Christian Rios, Marian (Ind.) - SR

• Competed in the Fast Break Invite
• Won three events, with two of the three being "A" standards
• Landed a mark of 17.09 in shot put 
• Recorded a mark of 52.31 in the discus
• Posted a mark of 59.29 in the hammer
