2025 NAIA Men's Outdoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week - No. 3 (March 26)
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Devyn Wright of Evangel (Mo.) and Darius Barge of Life (Ga.) earned NAIA Men’s Outdoor Track and Field weekly recognition, as Wright is the Track Athlete of the Week, and Barge is the Field Athlete of the Week, for March 17-23.
The duo was selected from a pool of conference and Continental Athletic Conference (independent) nominees. Athletes of the Week are announced on Wednesday on naia.org, Instagram, and X throughout the regular season.

NAIA Men’s Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week
Devyn Wright, Evangel (Mo.) – SO
- Wright earned two first-place finishes and hit one A-standard in the Miner Invitational.
- Won the 400-meter dash and qualified for the 2025 NAIA Outdoor Championships with a time of 46.60, breaking the school and meet record.
- Also won the 100-meter dash, and was part of the 4X100-meter relay team that finished third, breaking a school record.
NAIA Men’s Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week
Darius Barge, Life (Ga.) – SO
- Earned a pair of first-place finishes and two championship qualifications at the Emory Spring Break Classic.
- Won the Shot put with a distance of 17.78 meters, the NAIA’s top distance so far, in 2025, which hit the A-standard.
- Also picked up a win in the discus, at 50.64 meters, which hit the B-standard.
