KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Andrew Davies of British Columbia has been selected as the NAIA Men's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week and David Friedberg of Reinhardt (Ga.) has been selected as the NAIA Men's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week. The duo was selected based on their performances from April 8 - 14 and were selected out of a pool of nominees from across the country.

Players of the week are announced weekly throughout the regular season on Wednesdays on naia.org, Instagram and Twitter.

Andrew Davies, British Columbia - SR

• Competed in the Bryan Clay Invitational
• Finished 10,000m with a time of 29:03.01 
• Set a new program record by more than 68 seconds
• Holds the top ranking in the NAIA with this A cut time 

NAIA Men’s Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week  

David Friedberg, Reinhardt (Ga.) - JR

• Competed in the Berry Field Day Invitational
• Finished first of 26 athletes in the javelin with a mark of 76.08m
• This mark makes him an automatic qualifier for the U.S. Olympic trials
