KANSAS CITY, Mo. — James Williamson III of Southeastern (Fla.) has been selected as the NAIA Men's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week and Ayobami Arokoyo of Saint Xavier (Ill.) has been selected as the NAIA Men's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week. The duo was selected based on their performances from April 1 - 7 and were selected out of a pool of nominees from across the country.

Players of the week are announced weekly throughout the regular season on Wednesdays on naia.org, Instagram and Twitter.

NAIA Men’s Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week

James Williamson III, Southeastern (Fla.) - JR

• Competed in the South Florida Invitational
• Finished the 200m with a time of 20.81
• Aided the 4x100m team to a 40.18-second place finish

NAIA Men’s Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week  

Ayobami Arokoyo, Saint Xavier (Ill.) - JR

• Competed in the Chicagoland Championships
• Finished first of 56 athletes in the discus (53.05m)
• Currently holds the highest NAIA mark
