KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Deveyon Blacknell of Madonna (Mich.) has been selected as the NAIA Men's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week and Christian Rios of Marian (Ind.) has been selected as the NAIA Men's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week. The duo was selected based on their performances from March 25 - 31 and were selected out of a pool of nominees from across the country.

Players of the week are announced weekly throughout the regular season on Wednesdays on naia.org, Instagram and Twitter.

NAIA Men’s Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week

Deveyon Blacknell, Madonna (Mich.) - SR

• Competed in the Texas Relays
• Finished 100m dash with a time of 10.40
• Aided the 4x100m relay to a 40.78 time
• Aided the 4x200m relay to a 1:24.48 time
• Aided the 4x400m relay to a 3:14.47 time

NAIA Men’s Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week  

Christian Rios, Marian (Ind.) - JR

• Competed in the Marian Knight Open
• Finished 1st of 21 athletes in the hammer (63.03) for a new school record
• Finished 1st of 22 athletes in the shot put (16.81)
• Finished 1st of 24 athletes in the discus (52.63)
